Rembrandt Master Copy "Woman Bathing in a Stream". Saturday 4th July.

£120.00

Learn the techniques of Rembrandt in this Master Copy workshop.

Rembrandt is one of Richard Kitson’s key influences so this is a great opportunity to learn from his years of observing the masters work and wider research into his life.

What will I learn?

  • Rembrandt’s colour pallet.

  • How to approach underpainting onto a coloured ground.

  • How to build upon the underpainting with thicker paint and mark making.

  • How to create a sense of light and shade (chiaroscuro).

You will begin by making a drawing of the subject before developing it with an underpainting on a 40 × 30cm linen board. Richard will work with you step by step, slowly building the painting utilising his practiced experimentations into Rembrandt’s painting methods.

Experience painting like the masters!
