Come and Paint, Saturday 13th February, 2027.

£30.00

Artists often work in isolation but so much inspiration can be found when working with other creative people. It is also often the case that many hobby or amateur artists would like some guidance with their work or a project they have on the go.

This event is an opportunity for artists to work together and receive guidance from a professional artist and tutor. Private tuition and mentoring are valuable experiences that Richard offers at his studio. Come and Paint is an invitation to sample 1-1 mentoring alongside other artists.

Event Structure

Set up and Share: We will begin by introducing ourselves and our work to the group. This will help those with similar interests to come together and discuss ideas. Don’t worry if you are not comfortable talking in front of others, you can keep it brief or just skip this bit and listen.

Tutorials: After introductions, Richard will sit with each participant individually to help them, ask questions and set some targets. Richard will continue to support participants throughout the day.

After dinner (we are in Yorkshire, its definitely dinner) you will be invited to feedback on the work you have been doing. This is an opportunity to receive feedback and set further targets.

Circle and chat: You are invited throughout the day to talk to each other and socialise. Art brings people together and whilst you are encouraged to work on your pieces you will need to break off, have a cuppa and a chat.

End of day: Painting time will end at 3:30pm leaving enough time to pack down and look at each others work.

Please bring all materials you will need for the day.

Please bring a packed lunch - Refreshments are provided throughout the day.
